Sermon Outline
A. Evil spirits invade the void. V.14 

a. What, if any, differences in understanding do you suppose Moses had regarding fire – thinking of his culture vs. ours?

b. What other Scriptures support the idea that God’s way of dealing with sin is – fire?

c. How would you respond to someone who said that she heard voices within that disturbed her?

B. The world’s answer to evil is - distraction. V. 15ff.

a. Read Exodus 24:1-18.

b. What strikes you as read/hear these verses? 

c. Read 2 Corinthians 3:13-18.

d. Do these verses speak of a similar experience as what you read in Ex. 24? How so?

C. God’s answer is – Filled with His Presence. V. 18

a. Spit it out! – Take a moment to privately or publically confess any sin God brings to your mind. Reflect upon a time when lack of confession led to greater evil…(private confession/reflection, unless you dare to risk…trusting your group.)

b. Seek him/her out! – Community. How do we hold each other accountable for our Christian lives?

c. Speak it out! – Confidence. Tell of a time when you used the name of Jesus to battle some evil in your life.

Conclusion: Read Ephesians 5:15-20 and close with prayers.
